Congratulations to the cross country teams and the volleyball teams for their victories yesterday.

Today in homeroom students will receive information on school pictures, which will be taken Wednesday, Sept. 17, in the morning.  Picture envelopes will be distributed next week. All students in grades 7-11 should plan to have pictures taken even if pictures are not ordered.  Seniors should also plan to have pictures taken as Life Touch Photography provides ID cards at no cost.  Picture envelopes are not needed for this; however, if seniors wish to order pictures, they may do so.  Anyone needing extra flyers for other family members may pick them up in the office.

There is football with Adrian here tonight at 7:00.  Marching band will perform.

The girls’ locker room will be closed at 4:30 for the visiting football team.

Saturday there is varsity volleyball at Westbrook at 9:00 a.m.  The bus will leave at 6:45 a.m.

Any 7th or 8th grader interested in designing a city of the future should see Mr. Schmidt sometime this week.

Mrs. Larsen’s 3rd block 7th grade class will meet in Room 210 today.

There will be an FFA meeting on Tuesday morning at 7:45 for returning members and those interested in joining.

During the 10-minute break in the mornings only the bottom tier of the cafeteria will be used for eating snacks.  Please do NOT sit on the top two tiers.

Elections for class officers will be held next Tuesday, Sept. 9.  Students may fill out nomination forms, located in the Counselor’s office.  Campaigning will be this week.  All nomination forms must be returned by this Friday, Sept. 5.  Now is your chance to be a class officer.

Students are reminded that they must check out in the office and obtain a green pass before leaving the building.

Students in grades 7-10 are reminded that they have a closed lunch period and are not to leave the building.  Students in grades 11-12 will have open lunch period and may leave the building but must be on time to the class following lunch.  Anyone with questions should see Dr. Slaba.
