Course Expectations
I expect my students to show me and each other respect by paying attention when necessary and following the classroom rules at all times. I plan to allow my students to be involved in some of the decision making for things like the types of assignments, assessments and even due dates. My grading scale is posted below and I always say that everyone has the ability to earn themselves an A, but that doesn't mean it will be easy. I use a variety of assignments and assessments, such as projects, labs, tests/quizzes, Reflective Blogs, Reading/Reviewing Articles, Class Discussions, Debates, and other activities. I am more of a hands on learner and love to be able to get my students out of their desks and into something engaging, learn by doing! As much as I can, I try to provide students with the ability to choose how they show me their understanding of something. For example, giving students different options to choose from for an assignment is a great way to play to students' strengths. But by doing this too much it can actually take away from the variety of skills that students are showing me, so I do not do this for all my assignments either.

Listed below are the syllabus for each of my courses. The details for my classroom rules, late/missing work, discipline, cheating, and more can be found on the documents below. most of the information overlaps from one class to the next but some of the information may be unique to a specific class (Example: Blogs for General Biology).
